Trewan is a 300 year old traditional granite cottage on the edge of Dalbeattie Forest, with immediate access to the forest and the 7 Stanes Mountain Biking Trails.

In addition to cyclists, Trewan is ideal for individual and groups of artists, with a local artist willing to accompany you to the inspiring beaches nearby. On rainy days, a well-lit studio is available above the garage.

Your day will get off to a great start with a hearty cooked Scottish breakfast or a choice of a Continental menu, in the large farmhouse style kitchen, deliciously cooked on the Aga, at a time to suit if an early start is required. Ingredients will be sourced from local suppliers including an award winning butcher.

Walkers and cyclists will particularly enjoy the twin beds, which are adjustamatic massage beds, a luxury for those who are exhausted after an energetic days cycling or walking in Dalbeattie Forest or exploring the main attractions of Dumfries and Galloway.

There is a separate entrance from the garden to the guest room, especially convenient for dog owners and we are happy for the large garden to be used and enjoyed. This includes a gas fired barbeque, for your use, providing that perfect meal to end the day.

There is a large double garage providing a secure storage for bikes and apparatus along with plenty of room for those essential repairs and upgrades. All your wet clothes and equipment can be dried over night ready for the next day and your washing can be done for you for a small charge. The car park has space for 12 cars so touring caravans are easily accommodated if necessary.

Trewan has a recently built upper floor comprising 4 large bedrooms, two of which the family are proud to offer as guest rooms. This is suitable for a family or 3 friends as it has twin beds and a divan and an en-suite shower room.

Not to mention local horse riding stables and much much more. This area is also convenient for touring the other historic, coastal or artistic attractions of Dumfries and Galloway.
